Note to Trump and Manafort: KEEP on STONEwalling!

PLEASE!!!!

this is the BEST! watching these surrogates twist themselves into pretzels trying to defend the plagiarism is the BEST! they even use the same words as talking points. the best they can come up with is 'common words.' sort of like they hired ten thousand monkeys on word processors and they all came up with the exact, same 'common words.'

and THEN, at the outset, for Manafort to blame Hillary was the sine qua non of brazen projection!

his jock must be made of 70 weight spider silk.

It's a pretty big coincidence that the only speech that shares these phrases in common was a convention speech from another potential First Lady.

And it's all the more ironic that the original speaker of those phrases was the wife of the man the Republicans are lambasting at every opportunity.

Donald Trump "treats people with respect"? Suuuuuure he does. Just scroll through his Twitter feed.

Tue Jul 19, 2016, 10:13 AM
Jul 2016

'common words' Michelle stole from her. not kidding about that. see my other thread.

michelle's words bolded in melania's speech

From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect.
They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily lives. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son. And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

Mrs. Obama, in her 2008 speech:

“Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them. And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

Ms. Trump:

“I was born in Slovenia, a small, beautiful and then-Communist country in Central Europe. My sister, Ines, who is an incredible woman and a friend, and I were raised by my wonderful parents. My elegant and hard-working mother, Amalija, introduced me to fashion and beauty. My father, Viktor, instilled in me a passion for business and travel. Their integrity, compassion and intelligence reflects to this day on me and for my love of family and America.”

Mrs. Obama, in 2008:

“And I come here as a daughter — raised on the South Side of Chicago by a father who was a blue-collar city worker and a mother who stayed at home with my brother and me. My mother’s love has always been a sustaining force for our family, and one of my greatest joys is seeing her integrity, her compassion and her intelligence reflected in my own daughters.”

her mother introduced her to fashion and beauty! wow! what a stylist! she has the best words! just like her husband! how fortunate that two amazing wordsmiths found each other. a coincidence like finding the same 'common words' as Michelle's!

The point I was trying to make is that it's too big of a coincidence that the "common words" came from another spouse at a Presidential nominating convention.

Fire someone, anyone. The problem with this outfit as Mark Halperin pointed out in Morning Joe (yes he actually made a salient point) there is no one to fire because there really isn't a campaign. Then apologize and add in some sort of joke.

Okay so Team Trump has:
Blamed Hillary
Blamed the media (victim!!)
Threw his wife under the bus

Since there is no one to fire and Trump is never going to apologize they should DO NOTHING. Let it be a story until this afternoon and then something else will come up. Take advantage of the 24 hour news cycle- there has to be a new story tomorrow- his actually getting the nomination today will wash this away. It will still be mentioned but the banner story tonight and tomorrow will be his becoming the nominee.
