I have seen that meme on FB today. It is so tempting to tell them "all lives matter."

A police officer shoots a black person, no one goes to prison.

In fact, no white people generally face consequences for shooting black people. Occasionally, but it seems to be the exception rather than the rule. It's like rape - there are seldom consequences. It's just this side of legal.

from what I can tell since every time I turn on the TV I am told how wonderful they are and why their deaths are so much worse than anyone else's.

Many people, especially it seems in America, seem to regard saying 'Happy Holidays' or 'Season's Greetings' or mentioning any other holiday than Christmas in December as constituting a 'War on Christmas'! Yet I suspect that many of the same people choose to consider that 'Black Lives Matter' means that other lives don't.

as a response to Black Lives Matter - it is so fucking disingenuous - the problem is that for far too long, black lives have mattered less than everyone else's on the societal level.

I wish people would start saying Black Lives Matter, Too - but too many people are too god damned stupid to get it. The ones who aren't too stupid to get it and still don't get it are straight up racist - no excuses.
