John Derbyshire will be most unhappy today! To which I say - GOOD! Let's PARTY!!!
http://www.johnderbyshire.com/Opinions/USPolitics/chelsea1.html
Years ago, he wrote a column in the National Review, advocating the murder of Chelsea Clinton - simply because she WAS a Clinton and he argued that the Clinton lineage should be wiped off the face of the earth. He stunk up the joint so bad by doing that - that the National Review fired him.
Too vile and odiferous even for the National Review! That's really saying something!

(6,440 posts)Not that the National Review has a problem with white supremacists per se, but they like them to hide behind code words, dog whistles and phony outrage that anyone would dare call them a racist. Actually coming right out and saying it is going too far, even for them.

(930 posts)he too can join his mother and his grandparents by giving speeches at events sponsored by the Peter G. Peterson (former Reagan Sec. of Commerce hack) Foundation, which amongst its many noble goals, promotes the privatization of Social Security.
The same day I learned this was also the day that Chelsea and Marc bought a condo in Manhattan's Flatiron Building, for a cool $8 mil.
One political dynasty isn't enough; we need two.

Chelsea Clinton's new $10million pad is New York's longest apartment - stretching an entire block from 26th Street to 27th Street off Madison Avenue.
Described as 'a luxury fortress' with one full-time doorman to the horizontal building's four units, it takes almost 30 seconds to walk the 250-foot hallway, according to New York Daily News.
The former First Daughter, 33, bought the four-bedroom, 5,000-square-foot apartment with her husband Marc Mezvinsky, 35, after putting their nearby $4million pad on the market earlier this year.

More war, more veterans returning with PTSD, more speeches to Goldman Sh*ts, more promotion of the TPP and fracking.
Live it up.

(89,248 posts)The baby is being born into a family of power and wealth. Both his grandparents are in the White House. And his father is a major hedge fund manager on Wall Street. His birth is being retweeted countless times all over the world. The media follows these families like they do the Kardashians.
And just because of his name, he could run for Congress in 30 years and easily win.
This boy hit the jackpot.

(8,311 posts)I am sickened at the posts, but don't want to alert even on something as trashy as this one because free speech and not being a sore winner and feeling like as a Hillary supporter I could have argued easily to unite behind Bernie but it's not going to come out right from me....
Still, I expected more class from someone who had been here as long as you have, than to attack a baby for being born to the parents they were. Chelsea might be fair game now, but leave the grandkids alone. Geez.

(1,397 posts)Chelsea Clinton got married, waited a couple of years, THEN got pregnant.
Why didn't she get herself knocked up at 17, drop out of high school; have the baby; go on Dancing With the Stars; try her own reality TV show; get knocked up again; get engaged; break the engagement . . . .
Chelsea must be some special kind of stupid.
