OK, so he has more patience than is good for him. This should have happened long ago. But I hear a different tone on his voice and in his words lately. And other Democrats like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are being emboldened to speak out more forcefully too. Despite the setback in WI, I feel more optimistic about November these days.

(11,064 posts)committed himself to rejecting another extension of the Bush-tax cuts for the super-rich, and does he really mean it this time? Has he rejected the privitization of the school systems and instructed his Secretary of Education to back off from such activity?
Other than a different face in the White House, what do the Republicans want?

(4,458 posts)I have not noticed before. At least it was there yesterday when addressing the repubs suggestion there was an intentional leak for political purpose...
Even calm, level-headed people feel the knowing of one too many lines crossed and after Many long painful journeys? You'd better look out when they're pissed.
I don't know where Pres Obama is.....But I arrived by Feb 2009 after listening to mcconnell say the number one goal was to make "him" a one term pres.
Not to Help his country in it's time of need-Hell No-mcconnell and friends set out with a harmful, devious plan and more than 3 years later we, the people see and suffer the fruit.
In my opinion? The actions of the republican party and their supporters were and are willful and recklessly negligent. They disregard our country and her people for political and financial gain.

(17,621 posts)That just couldn't fully comprehend that the Repugs like McConnell were really as irrational and partisan as they sounded. It's taken this long for him to finally get his head around that and get fed up with them.

At that juncture I had watched and lost a fairly liberal friend turn batcrap tea party nuts right before my eyes. I just knew & When mcconnell said That? I believed it immediately.
I don't have the patience of this Pres-not at all. I'm glad hes patient, any person in his position needs to be calm and even tempered---but dammit, not with "them". It's real, dangerous and ugly.

(5,420 posts)it does appear that he has lost patience with the republicans. We will have to wait and see if it remains lost after the election.

Frankly, it puzzles me to no end the lengths to which Obama pursued "bipartisanship". I really don't understand it at all. It's not like he could find 10% of DUers that would believe that the Republicans would operate in good faith, ever. How could he not get that?
