And everyone knows they are stupid enough to do it.
This election is going to split the country along gender lines. And the majority of men in this country are going to vote for this idiot, this thief who doesn't pay his bills, who doesn't know anything, and who thinks he can just coast along by seat-of-his-pants answers, like a kid trying to bluff his way through a book report on a book he hasn't glanced at.
The only question is will enough women vote for Clinton, and will few enough men vote for Trump to create a big enough gap for a Democratic victory.
My gender should be ashamed of this - and if you know men in your lives who might be voting for this asshole, please do what you can to change their minds.

(10,437 posts)near 80% + of hispanics will vote hillary.....98%+ of black voters for hillary....across the board will add up to a democratic landslide...I will laugh my ass off if hillary wins Texas...abd she has chance to do that
what GOP feared and hoped to change this dynamic after the 2012 election by reaching out to women and hispanics.....and the exact opposite has happened becasue of the moron the conservatives selected...

(20,317 posts)Hillary's numbers always erode as contests wear on. She's got this ongoing FBI problem, and if could well result in a recommended indictment. The GOP almost certainly has a couple of October surprises to throw at her, too-- and I suspect one of them is a transcript of one of her Wall Street speeches.
beachbum bob
(10,437 posts)time will tell...hillarys numbers can only go up as we leave the primary season and head into general election.
btw, I heard all the naysayers when obama got the nomination sown up in 2008 and they said he had no chance in the general election.....I was right then in 2008 and I will be correct again in 2016

(10,437 posts)and yes I have been wrong....I thought the Cubs had a chance last year to win it all....this year I am much more certain...baring injuries....just like I am more certain than never with hillary and our democratic party and our voters....

(5,995 posts)The RWNJs, bigots, etc. will turn out driven by their multilayered hatred. The real question is whether the Dems can generate the numbers to offset the other side. Me too politics doesn't often inspire GOTV.
Our side sometimes forgets that what we see as obvious negatives and reasoned arguments don't work on the GOP camp. No one is going to turn up to replace the vote you don't cast.

Edit: Also, I must caution against trying to change the mind of your Trump-voting friend. If you're smart and liberal then your Trump friend already fears you and automatically believes the conservative bullshit even more when you try to talk him out of it. Yes, that is stupid, and that's what you're dealing with.
So instead, consider confusing your already deeply confused Trump voter. Tell him his vote is extremely important and no matter what he has to pick someone. Tell him that no matter what, don't register a protest vote by writing in Ronald Reagan. Remember that whatever you tell the guy, he's going to seriously consider doing the opposite of it.

On one side of my family I have crazy right-wing relatives, male and female, who love Trump; on the other side, male and female, they are Democrats.

Major Nikon
(36,827 posts)However, the biggest problem with the GOP's strategy is they have to get increasingly larger shares of an increasingly shrinking demographic.
If the next election is a resounding defeat, as it should be, you're going to start seeing the death throes of the GOP. They will never survive as a regional only party.

(7,231 posts)Maybe if Clinton hadn't responded to every criticism by pointing at her gender, I would share your concerns. Right now, I am tempted to say that "the WOMEN of America have given the weakest possible GE candidate the nomination of the DSemocratic Party, thus allowing that racist Trump a shot at the White Hpouse he would nopt have had against Sanders."
The gender argument has been played so many times that I am now impervious to its desired effect: I won't be shamed into voting for a flawed candidate, whatever his or her gender.
No more establishment for me. No more Democratic Party like it's 1999. The 20th century is over. And your Trump-card won't change my throrough loathing and despising of its relics. Your Trump-card IS one of those relics.

(45,984 posts)Guys like Trump rub me the wrong way. He's a bully. I was the smallest kid in my class. How much do I despise Trump? I'll even vote for Hillary Clinton to block him from the White House. That's desperation, not a ringing endorsement of Mrs. Clinton.
I'll stay out of the campaign this year. I have little good to say about Mrs. Clinton, so I'll say nothing at all. I heard of bumper stickers in New Orleans during the gubernatorial election of 1991, Edwin Edwards vs. David Duke, proclaiming It's Important -- Vote for the Crook. That's exactly how I feel about this election.
Sure, I oppose the TPP, but not because it will help China. In fact, I can think of no way in which it will. It should be obvious to all that in addition to being a racist, misogynist, a sectarian bigot (although he's no more religious than my cat) and a climate science denier, Mr. Trump doesn't know what he's talking about. Hillary Clinton may have demonstrated poor judgment often, but at least it is informed poor judgment.

(17,505 posts)"The survey also found that a greater share of women registered as Democrats want Sanders to stay in the race than do Democratic men, directly contradicting another popular media narrative that posits that Sanders' support comes largely from men, while rival Hillary Clinton supposedly wins more support from women.
