As Mother Jones reported in April, the bill would make performing abortions, except for those intended to save a woman's life, a felony punishable by a minimum of one year in prison.

She is so right wing that I expected her to be in full agreement. But maybe she realized it would cost a fortune to defend it in court.

(2,543 posts)is because OK doesn't have the $$ to fight what will surely be a losing case before SCOTUS, not because she all of a sudden had a come to Jesus moment about interfering with women's health care choices.

Some of us are old enough to have known women, like my own mother, who were forced to endure illegal back-ally abortions.
They're not "pro-life" inthe least.
