I want the first woman president to be honest, ethical, committed to the betterment of all people, against unnecessary wars, more concerned with Main Street than Wall Street, not have decades of scandals and investigations swirling around her, consistent, pragmatic, gives speeches that are accessible to all people, never came under bogus sniper fire, doesn't have to explain away her votes or advocacy for a corrupt war, is not good buds with the Bush family, doesn't consult with Henry Kissinger, isn't favored by anyone named Koch...

I'm just going to wait for the real deal.

Nancy Pelosi was addressed as Madam Speaker. It's actually a part of Robert's Rules of Order, Article X, number 58 - Chairman or President.

The presiding officer, when no special title has been assigned him, is ordinarily called the Chairman, or the President, or, especially in religious assemblies, the Moderator. In organized societies the constitution always prescribes his title, that of President being most common. In debate he is referred to by his official title and is addressed by prefixing Mr. or Madam, as the case may be, to that title. In referring to himself he should never use the personal pronoun; he generally says, "the chair," which means the presiding officer of the assembly, regardless of whether his position is permanent or temporary. If his position is only temporary he is called the chairman.

Madame would be french. Madam Chairman etc just denotes sex of the chairman, president etc. Mrs, Ms, Miss denotes marital status. It is like saying Sir, to the boss of something. But if she is female, you say Madam, or as the British do Ma'am.

through quite a lot in our lives. I think Tulsi Gabbard or someone of her generation will be a good female role model who didn't have to struggle like we did.

I get that about Hillary. But it's part of her history and our generation and if she can't be a positive role model...and she's nowhere in the Universe close to that...she needs to be helped out of that position.

As a feminist since I came out of the womb myself, I have long wanted to see a woman as President. I wouldn't vote for a woman if I did not think she was qualified. I believe Hillary is the most qualified candidate. The fact that the most qualified candidate is female is icing on the cake for me.

My politics are feminist politics. Nonetheless, being a woman candidate doesn't ensure a great vote for women's rights-- See any number of Republican women-- Voting for a woman as preemptively qualified, and a liberal as Hillary Clinton is a joy.
