As of right now, the only time you need a permit is if you are carrying concealed inside the corporate limits of a municipality on your person. No permit is needed to open carry, to carry concealed outside of a city, or to carry in your vehicle.
When the laws signed this session take effect, Idaho will be a "constitutional carry" state and no permit will be needed to carry anywhere in Idaho.
Having said that, why should a toddler have access to a gun?
