Not good IMHO. This was our best chance at neutering the Republicans. yourout Jun 2012 #2
Would have been better if we hadn't pursued this disastrous recall election BlueDemKev Jun 2012 #3

Especially after redistricting. Although a net gain of 1 Senate seat would put Dems in the majority...

I am afraid all we did was embolden them.

I would say that most Wisconsin Democrats would agree. This is just the first round. You will get rid of him, and them. It takes time, especially when they can buy anything they want.

...we'd have had a better chance to take back the state legislature in November had we not pursued the recall election. Now, a lot of WI voters are upset because we pursued this recall and will be less inclined to vote Democratic in November. Also, this victory has emboldened Republicans in Wisconsin and nationwide and has put the state, which Obama carried by 14 points in 2008, in play. This means we'll have even less resources to pour into crucial states like Ohio, Colorado, Virginia, and Florida.
