1997 Interview: Draft-Dodger Trump Said Sleeping Around Was My ‘Personal Vietnam’

Last edited Wed Feb 17, 2016, 01:47 PM - Edit history (2)

In a 1997 Howard Stern interview, the future presidential candidate likened sleeping with multiple women to service in the war he repeatedly avoided.

Draft-dodger Donald Trump once said that the danger he faced from getting sexually transmitted diseases was his own “personal Vietnam.”

In a 1997 interview with shock jock Howard Stern, Trump talked about how he had been “lucky” not to have contracted diseases when he was sleeping around.

“I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era,” Trump said in a video that resurfaced Tuesday on Buzzfeed, “It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

as I was out protesting that conflict, trying to get my friends back in one piece, and some of them didn't quite make it back standing vertical, and you thought in your minds eye that sleeping around was a personal Vietnam.

What is troubling is a lot Vets with there Vietnam hats on and there Legionnaire hats on are supporting him------------that is what so remarkable and there friends are on a cold wall with there names on it in the Washington Mall area :

By this "logic" Bill Clinton was a draft dodger too.

The system was biased, racist, and crooked but using the system does not make someone a draft dodger.

And I believe that most of the GOP base also did not serve. Look at Romney big time Viet Nam war supporter but served his time doing missionary work in Paris with a chef and house maids to take care of their needs. Tough. His sons also were serving by helping their dad get elected. Another tough assignment.
