Jeb Bush Not Aware Of Any Christian Radicals, Pro-Life Terrorists Feel Snubbed
image:
Sure, Jeb looks dumb. But look at that one short little terrorist!
Jeb Bush keeps pushing his strange attempt to out-Christian the other Republican candidates, explaining on Fox & Friends Monday how Islam is the only religion that breeds radicals anywhere on Earth, so failing to use the magic words Radical Islam somehow makes fighting ISIS impossible. Bush was critiquing both President Obamas speech on terrorism and Hillary Clintons comments Sunday, there are radicals, people who believe all kinds of things in every religion in the world. Bushs no Christian radicals comments start around the 4-minute mark in the embedded video, in case you wish to limit your exposure to the Derp Effects of watching a Fox & Friends:
Jeb! wasnt having any of that everybody does it nonsense, as Fox helpfully showed scary photos of ISIS dudes looking like Muslim Ninjas wearing suicide vests and carrying rocket propelled grenade launchers:
Look, we are at war. Theyre at war with us, so by definition were at war, and the fact that a Caliphate the size of Indiana exists is where they get their energy. Every day that that exists, they can declare victory to recruit people. If we destroyed ISIS in the form of a Caliphate they would be weakened across the world, we would be living in a much safer place.
The idea that somehow there are radical elements in every religion is ridiculous. There are no radical Christians that are organizing to destroy western civilization. There are no radical Buddhists that are doing this. This is radical Islamic terrorism. It is not showing disrespect to the religion of Islam to be clear about this. The simple fact is by not recognizing it, you end up creating strategies that are tepid and weak.
No radical Christians, huh? What about that one guy who killed three people at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood because, according to people whove had the misfortune of knowing him, he believed people who killed abortion providers were doing Gods work? Aw, but hes only an outlier. Its not like theres any organized group advocating murder for Jesuss sake, unless maybe you count the Colorado Springs killers heroes, the Army of God. They even have a website praising Scott Roeder as an American Hero for murdering Dr. George Tiller. And they have called for the murder on behalf of God, of course of any other abortion providers who try to do their job in Kansas.
Silly us, though. Such fanatics and their lunatic supporters represent only a tiny, violent minority of Christians, who are law-abiding followers of a religion of peace. Besides, the Planned Parenthood shootings were so long ago, back in November, before Everything Changed with the attack in San Bernardino. We can see why it might have slipped Jebs mind.

Court documents show that Jason "Gunny" Bush, Forde's alleged partner in a West Coast robbery and homicide spree, is suspected of five likely race-related murders and an attempted murder.
Forde, of Everett, and Bush, of Wenatchee, are currently in an Arizona jail with a third member of her rebel Minutemen band, charged with the first-degree murders of a Mexican man and his daughter and the attempted murder of the man's wife May 30 in Arivica. A onetime Everett city council candidate, beauty school protest leader, and former Seattle prostitute, Forde is accused of masterminding the slayings to finance her border-watch group and grow it into a Blackwater-like organization, running mercenary missions south of the border.

(20,872 posts)That's the game Republicans play. As soon as any member of their following commits a crime they're labeled a liberal, a non-Christian, and they move on. No Christian is a terrorist because any that are become labeled NON-CHRISTIAN. It's a miracle. I was listening to RW radio the other day and they pointed out no Pro-life person would shoot up anything so clearly this person wasn't pro-life. He was most likely a liberal because he shot someone up.
This same logic of course doesn't work for any other group. So no matter how many Muslims point out genocidal activities aren't a part of Islam, they all get labeled terrorists. The magic thinking of the GOP at work.

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush said over the weekend that the U.S. should respond to the terrorist attacks in Paris by carefully screening out Syrian refugees who are not Christians.
As it relates to the refugees, I think we need to do thorough screening, Bush told CNNs Jake Tapper on Sunday. And take a limited number. But ultimately, the best way to deal with the refugee crisis is to create safe zones inside of Syria so that people dont risk their lives, and you dont have what will be a national security challenge for both our country and for Europe of screening.
But there was one group which should be allowed to take refuge in the U.S., the former Florida governor argued.
There are a lot of Christians in Syria that have no place now, he explained. Theyll be either executed or imprisoned, either by Assad or by ISIS. And I think we should have we should focus our efforts as it relates to the Christians that are being slaughtered.
