MSNBC abruptly cut to a brief commercial break during its interview Tuesday with Donald Trump on Morning Joe after the show's co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, repeatedly warned the Republican presidential candidate that he had to answer their questions and not just pontificate.
In launching into an explanation and defense of his call to bar the entry of Muslims in the United States on Monday until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on, Trump reiterated much of what he said in earlier interviews in the hour to ABC's Good Morning America and to CNN's New Day, remarking upon how European cities like Paris and France are no longer the same and that he is proposing a common sense, temporary solution to the issue.
Youve got to let us ask questions. You cant just talk. Youve got to let us actually ask questions. Youre just talking, Scarborough told Trump, who was calling in to the show, as he often does. No, no. Im not just talking. Im not just talking. Im giving you the facts, Trump responded.
Amid cross-talk, Scarborough then briefly threatened to cut the interview and go to break, which is exactly what he did. All right, Donald. Donald, Donald, Donald, Donald youre not going to keep talking. We will go to break if you keep talking. Were going to ask you questions, Scarborough said, as Trump continued to talk over him. All right, go to break everybody. Go to break, go to break, go to break, go to break right now. Well be right back with more Morning Joe.

(25,263 posts)I assume that Trump was no longer on - so they must have said something about this incident?

(9,961 posts)...very anti-Obama, anti-Hillary. They let Trump go on for almost an a hour. Usually, "Morning Joe" helps Trump by letting him explain more shocking comments elsewhere. No difference this morning. They love Trump (and the ratings jumps).

(4,522 posts)shutting him down. But the next thing I know, there he is again, popping up on Good Morning America. He pulled the same shit on George, but George just sort of had a deer in the headlights look. How much time did they both give him? I predict they will both be getting calls from the rest of the clown car, looking for equal air time.

(82,849 posts)Donald won't like that one bit. Look for a torrent of tweets that will have Joe Squint begging for mercy. Nobody says, "Shut the fuck up, Donny" to Mr. Trump! Although they should.
It's laughable that NBC, of all the networks, is so flustered by their addiction to Trump. They've done their obeisances for so long, they can't imagine why Trump makes fun of the worn-out patches on their trousers.
