Both of my parents and I are Bernie supporters. My 27 year old brother is a fucking racist gun nut.

You can't believe the shit he's posting on my facebook. Here are the basics:

I stated that enough is enough. I am tired of these mass shootings. Gun ownership is a massive problem.

His responses (keep in mind, i just copied and pasted):

1: I own 4 and u dont see me on the god damn news. Thats responsible gun ownership. Ur opinion of "if u own a gun ur the problem" is WRONG. i know that 5 letter word that will cause u lose ur mind

2: Tell me to my face that I am the problem because i own guns. Anyone over 21 who owns a car is to blame for drunk driving. Same lunacy

3: strip the guns out of our military's hands. They have guns and r part of the problem. U have to put this logical fallacy to ALL citizens. No exception. Never another gun again to anyone

4: When I said he will change his tune heaven forbid his two kids are victims, he said he will teach his children how to deal with an active shooter. when I asked if they will pack heat, he told me: "Did i say they will have them in schools, NO. Quit putting words in my mouth to make ur opinion sound better to degrade mine. They will be taught how to deal with and active shooter. Thats what was said. Nothing more than that"

5: When I said I am glad I live overseas in a country that has gun control: "since ur"home" is so bad, renounce ur citizenship and never be considered an american again."

6: I mooch, and don't pay taxes living overseas. When i said I make less than 86K overseas and am American tax exempt but not Malaysian tax exempt, I was told: " Then if u fund another country's revenue, become thier citizen and stop tanking mine."

My brother is now an "America, love it or leave it" type who jacks off on his guns.

It's like all of a sudden people fall for all the memes and talking points all at once. It is happening in my family too. It is hate Feeling the Bern, and there are no limits once someone falls into it. They become more and more isolated in their web of hate and continue to feed on it from others who have fallen into it too.

on FB who took to posting obnoxiously racist posts. Hiding him has done wonders for my sanity and my blood pressure. He's a family member, so unfriending him would seem combative. Hiding him will make you not see his remarks and commentary. It's a good tool.

My 20's something brother grew up with Oppositional Defiance Disorder and is now a self-identified sociopath. He'll argue with you about every single thing, NO MATTER what you say, to the point of screaming and threatening. He moved to Florida about 15 years ago and now he is off the deep end with bible thumping and rapture talk. Giving money that he doesn't have to the church in hopes of a home in Heaven.
