Here's hoping cooler, wet weather is soon here in California. Our summer weather shows no signs of abating any time soon.

I was just taking the trash to the curb and was struck by how incredibly warm it is, for late September. And it doesn't look like the weather is going to change, at least for the next 10 days.

Two years ago I was without power for a week and we had record shattering snowfall. Last year it stayed so cold, the snow never had a chance to melt down, until it all happened at once. Mild would be so lovely.

It's not even as if I have to worry about driving, since I took an early retirement, this year. But my heating bills will be higher because I'll be home. In the past, I turned the heat way down, while I was at work. I'd love it if it is mild enough for me to, on occasion, use the fireplace to heat the house.

and I'm hoping to be able to not have the heater on 24/7 this winter as well.

It looks like southern california is going to get some drought relief too.
