Kristol understands that voters don't control the Republican nominating process - big money does. They have elections in the same manner large corporations do "voting shares".

According to Maddow's, 60 % of them think Obama was born outside of the US, compared to 40 % of the GOP voters in general (and therefore less than that for the voters of the rest of the field).

So, we should try to stop rationalisations of Trump's appeal and call a spade a spade.
