3. Agreed. Ewan McGregor was the first choice before Craig.

McGregor turned it down, and would have been much better.

Personally, I think Pierce Brosnan would have been good for another three Bond films.

9. Sorry, Casino Royale was far better than anything Brosnan did.

I like Pierce Brosnan as an actor, but his Bonds were silly almost to the point of parody. The transition to BMWs was also an incredible sacrilege. I think even Timothy Dalton did a better job for the most part. Casino Royale was probably the most gritty and realistic Bond to date. Yeah, QoS sucked, but I'm hoping that was an aberration.

7. I'm not a woman...

... but I agree. I grew up on the action comedy of Roger Moore, and through re-runs later learned to appreciate Sean Connery as the best Bond. But I think Craig brings more grit and realism to the character and his conflicts/demons (even if some of the stunts are a little over the top). He is my new favorite.

I think Casino Royale is the best of all Bond films and Craig's portrayal is a substantial reason for that.
