I think I'll google Bernie's record to see how he feels today.
What is "our broken immigration system"?
From the sound of it, O'Malley seems to think our system is broken because we pretend to have a border or that we pretend to try to limit immigration.

(37,573 posts)or try to limit immigration?
What is that supposed to prove?
"I think everyone agrees that the current immigration system is broken."
is a little bit of an empty statement.
Some people think it is broken because it didn't make those 11 million illegal immigrants into citizens easier. I think it is broken because apparently we cannot seem to keep people out. The other broken part is that people who sneak in illegally can then have kids here who automatically become citizens. I think that is messed up, especially if rich Chinese pay to do it.
Calling a set of proposals "immigration reform" is also pure salesmanship. Because who can be against 'reform'?

Recognition like this from O'Malley won't go unnoticed. If they haven't done so yet, I imagine Sanders and Hillary have a staff member feverishly working on it right now. Though Clinton has been talking often about the topic. These are more than press releases. They are recognition of success and the fact it is understood success aren't static. They must be worked on every day.
