With 50 states, surely we can spare one for the Republicans.

Just turn a whole state over to them lock, stock and barrel and let them implement all their policies and all the ridiculous 17th century laws they want to enact.

Then the rest of the world can sit back and watch the catastrophic results of their misguided policies and there will no longer be any doubt that they are stark raving lunatics!

We just need to make sure that there is a transitional period during which those who want to escape Reaganistan can do so before the borders close and liberals are rounded up in concentration camps.

Then a few years on, after the whole experiment has resulted in the complete collapse of civilization in this "Republican Dream State" we can just go back in and mop up the mess and repopulate the state with sane people. Or, if worse comes to worse and the crazies have reverted to savagery, just build a containment wall around it conduct guided tours in armored excursion buses.

Within a week, Cleveland would be exporting Great Lakes beer, BBQ spare ribs and home-made pierogies on a production scale not seen since we were turning out one B-29 an hour for the effort in WWII.

You don't know Clevelanders...if there is a tougher bunch of stubborn stiff-necked bastards anywhere in this country, I'd like to meet them.

Those are my kind of people.

I can picture you submitting the draft to an editor and then sitting down to discuss it afterwards.

Editor - 'This is great stuff, kid. But it needs more holocaust.'

You - 'Are you sure?'

Editor - 'Oh yeah. If there's one thing I've learned in this business, it's that the holocaust is funny. People love it. You should put it right in the title.'

You - 'Huh. I never thought about it that way.'

Editor - 'Trust me, kid. I know what I'm doing here. How about we talk it over some more over at Jamba Juice. I'm buying.'

You - 'You mean Jamba Jews?'

Editor - 'Hehe. Now you're learning.'

Genesis 1.7: And The Invisible Hand made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament into Class "A" and Class "B" water rights, distributed between the Gods Rand and Norquist: and it was so.

Genesis 1.8: And The Invisible Hand called the firmament Handlandia. And the evening and the morning were the second quarter, allowing for schedule slippage and cost overruns.

I don't mean that we would have to make any actual improvements. We would just have to advertise it as a Paradise.
Get the word out that their were plenty of guns, no welfare queens no poor people no 'what ever people'.
You get the idea.
Fox mews and Rush could come in handy here.
Next thing we would need to do is have President Obama declare the state a liberal sanctuary.
Naturally the repubs would oppose.
Bohner would turn a darker shade of orange. The Michturtel would pull his head into the shell.
Why, the teabagers would flock to the place.

The first thing they would want to do is build a fence to keep out illegal liberals.
We wouldn't have to build a containment wall, they would do it for us.

If we could position cameras it would make for a heck of a TV reality show.

21. Nice fantasy, but it's easier just to ban the GOP
Sat May 12, 2012, 03:28 PM
May 2012

It's actually quite easy to ban the republican party compared to other measures such as moving them to another land mass. It's called enforcement of the RICO statues, and defining the tenets of the GOP as criminal, including their energy policies which destroy the planet, economic policies which steal from the vast majority of impoverished, lost middle class, and even social policies based upon the illegal integration of Christianity/Judaism and state.

We just need a cohesive legal strategy as well as one more Supreme Court Justice in our favor to pull this off. Then The Democratic Party can evolve into a party which is part and parcel of a rich, diverse political mix including Socialist, Green, Peace and Freedom, and other progressive, non criminal parties which we can all be proud of.

Which state are you willing to throw away?

"I got no kick against the west coast;
Warner Brothers are such good hosts.
I raise my whiskey glass and give them a toast,
I'm sure they know it's true.

I got no rap against the southern states.
Every time I've been there it's been great.
But now I'm leaving and I can't be late
and to myself be true.

I got no quarrel with the midwest,
the folks out there have given me their best.
I lived there all my life, I've been their guest,
I sure have loved it, too.

I ain't got nothing 'gainst the east coast.
You want some people where they got the most.
And new york city's like a friendly ghost,
you seem to pass right through.

K-K-K-K-K-Katmandu,
take me, baby, 'cause I'm going with you.
If I ever get out of here
I'm going to Katmandu."

I'm fortunate enough to have spent enough time in most areas of our country to get my hands dirty and get to know people.
I can't think of a single state I would be willing to throw away.
They belong to us all,
and we need them all.

Reactionary Conservatives think we should do the same for The Poor & Unemployed (give them a state and cut them off).
Racists think we should do the same for Black People, and then everything would be wonderful.
Division and exclusion is not the answer you seek.

Fact of the matter is that for the most part, populated areas are blue, less populated areas are red. The south has a much more rural and small town population than much of the rest of the country.

Nebraska, Kansas and especially Oklahoma look utterly hopeless and hence good places for a loony homeland. Provided relocation monies for evacuation are provided to the sane who currently live there and very tall walls are built around these states once they leave.

....but MORE.
Don't move Blue People out.
Invade and take it over.
Move there and help change the color.
It EASY to be Blue in a Big Blue State.

In 2006, my Wife & I moved from Big Blue Minneapolis
to Dark Red Rural Arkansas.
Our Blue Vote and Liberal Politics weigh much more here than it did in Minneapolis.
In 2008, we were able to influence MORE people to vote for The Democrats than if we had stayed in Minneapolis.

Just always remember that if you want respect,
you must be willing to lend respect,
and everything will be OK.

One heart!

First they would use up all of the resources in that state and decide to try to trump up a reason to declare war on another state that has the resources they need. They can't be left on their own, it will just cause too much mayhem. Just look at how much trouble they can cause when they have level-headed forward thinking people around to temper their bad behavior. A state full of only republicans? That's trouble in the making.
