Tragic Train Crash

provided the cover for the Senate to hurry and come up with the votes to pass TPA..

The crash happened last night, it was tragic, people killed, people hurt, and we all watched throughout the day wondering how this could have happened the same day that votes against Amtrak funding was going down. So ironic.

I forgot about TPA and the agreements needed by Senate Dems to make TPA acceptable until I opened my DU and found out it passed. Went to CSpan2 and they don't have too much on it. Don't know who the 10 Dems were who voted with the R's...

I felt like Peggy Lee thinking to myself, "Is that all there is, my Friend, then let's keep dancing." All that fuss over TPA and TPP for nothing.

And the dead and injured are still dead and injured...

TPA passed and a derailment occurred.

Only thing worth commenting on is why you decided to draw a link between the two.

because there wasn't one. I totally forgot about TPA, and the fuss made about it for the last 6 months.

The Dems were going to cave and wanted to make it look good, and took the opportunity to do it without attention and emails. What pissants.

The song is an old one by Peggy Lee. About how things are made out to be so great and important, and when they happen, she sings, "Is that all there is?" because they weren't worth the fuss. That's TPA.

The deaths and tragedies are for real, not a big fuss about nothing. Sad with good reason, no tricks or spin.

If you want to hear an old song that has the mood, find it somewhere on the web. Be sure it's by Peggy Lee. I was very young when it was popular and didn't understand it until TPA and the rebellion happened and so what.

I look to the President for reassurance, and sometimes I believe him and sometimes I don't. I don't like to see progressives bashed. We put him in office...

I'm disgusted when one group claims absolutely that they alone put him in office.

People were divided, some stayed that way, and voted for him anyway.

all of the groups. If he lost them, he'd have lost.

You can't really be disgusted by that unless you are just in need of something to get disgusted over. But there are actual disgusting things out there deserving of your disgust.

what are they passing behind our backs? When I saw it on The Twitter feed it did not surprise me in the least.

When tweety hits the field... you know the covering is deep.
