Laura Ingraham On Jeb's Iraq Answer: There's 'Something Wrong With You' (AUDIO)

Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham dropped the hammer on former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) on Monday after the likely presidential candidate said he would invade Iraq again, knowing what we know now.
"You can't still think that going into Iraq, now, as a sane human being, was the right thing to do," Ingraham said on her radio show.
"If you do, there has to be something wrong with you," she added.

At one point she began laughing, and doubted that Bush was "his own person" capable of breaking with his brother, President George W. Bush.
"That's just a fun hypothetical, but you have to say no to that!" she said.
The radio host said the exchange did not bode well for Bush if he were to secure the GOP nomination and face off against Clinton and the press.
"You have to have someone who says, look, I'm a Republican but I'm not an idiot! I'm not stupid!" she said. "I learn from the past and I improve myself."

(89,262 posts)the establishment doesn't want most of those who are running so far to get the nomination. Rubio would be ok but i really don't see him having much appeal and comes off as a douchebag.
there is Scott Walker so it might depend on how he does.
jeb is making major mistakes this early on . by mistake i mean mostly in terms of campaign strategy . this is different from perry who came off as a fool. jeb had years to think about the iraq issue and his response is the worst in terms of campaign strategy.

(20,002 posts)Laura should have learned from the past that it's easy to get your stories mixed up and sound crazy when you live in an agenda-driven bubble that only values facts when they help the agenda.

(53,840 posts)I'm so glad he said that he'd go into Iraq also gets him out of the way early.
Look for him to try to walk this back in the coming days but the damage has been done it's on the record.

(32,886 posts)This shouldn't be a surprise to folks. I've been talking about this for a while.
The rightmost 50-67% of the Republican party hates Jeb. They think he is a "RINO". Even among the rest who don't hate him, most find his immigration and common core positions unacceptable.
I don't think that leaves enough of a constituency to nominate him.

(32,886 posts)but I expect Cruz to surge. He has a lot of the tea party folk behind him.
Even some Republican pundits who I expected to be more moderate expressed to me that they liked Cruz when I mentioned him to them.

(9,090 posts)then limbaugh bucked them on mccain and required him to pick palin before getting behind maccain. rove bush may have blamed limbuagh somewhat for the loss of the white house.
now the kochs and others may be bidding for their services. would be intelligent for dems to monitor who the 50 main talk radio gods are trying to eliminate while trying to look 'even handed' to the talk radio base they will then be paid to unite in time for the elections.
