California's long term drought conditions has imposed harsh restrictions on residential water use. People are ordered to cut their water use, so no more car washing in your driveway, and the lawns must die while Wal-Mart gets to keep profiting by using up scarce natural resources. So when the water is depleted to the point that prices go up, Wal-Mart will simply move on to exploit the next town... like a plague locust.

In this country we have some of the safest tap water in the world. Our tap water is better regulated than the bottled water. If you truly don't trust your tap water than put a filter on the faucet.

How many resources and how much energy do we waste putting water in bottles and shipping it across the country to places that have plentiful local water?

Nestle bottles Sac water, too.

I suspect DINO mayor Kevin Johnson (who you may remember from his NBA days, as well as for being married to ed deformer Michelle Rhee ) may have something to do with it.
