Who's the *real* Gish Galloper?, part 1

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Agschmid (a host of the General Discussion forum).

I hate seeing one of DU's best posters getting smeared, so I thought it would be interesting to fact check, as a group, the following attack post currently on DU's front page:

The Gish Gallop of the HRC bashers

Let's start with the first link:

The Clinton Dynasty's Horrific Legacy: More Drug War, More Prisons
http://www.alternet.org/drugs/clinton-dynasty-horrific-legacy-more-drug-war-more-prisons

The poster lamenting the "Gish Gallop" claims "This article is about Bill Clinton, and has nothing to do with HRC."

Do you agree?

Um, it pretty clearly discusses stuff HRC did, including quotes.

As recently noted by Reason.com, Hillary actively lobbied for the aforementioned criminal justice reforms as First Lady and, as a New York senator, voted to expand grants that dramatically scaled up police involvement in anti-terror and homeland security efforts. She also said things like this, in support of a crime bill that would impose Draconian new sentencing provisions:

“We need more police, we need more and tougher prison sentences for repeat offenders. The three strikes and you’re out for violent offenders has to be part of the plan. We need more prisons to keep violent offenders for as long as it takes to keep them off the streets.”

It requires updates continuously to keep it safe from malicious attacks and viruses like "honesty" and "principles" or adware such as "peoples needs".

The end users at Goldman and Raytheon need to know their work is secure as they type their agenda into her.

I believe she is on version 8.1 at the moment.

LOL! Dude, I don't know what you think a poll at a site like this proves, but you go for it.

You probably DO think DU is representative of Democratic voters. But that can only be true if you are completely ignorant of actual, real polls. You know the non-self selected, scientific polls.

But if it makes you feel better to congratulate yourself that some people at a website agree with you, go for it. I would expect nothing less from you, frankly.

*Of course* the article has something to do with HRC.

DU knows it, and the OP certainly knew it, too. But, as Orwell pointed out,
