Americas young adults, who twice helped propel President Barack Obama to victory at the ballot box, are lining up to support Hillary Clinton in 2016.
A survey by Harvard Universitys Institute of Politics shows that 55 percent of all young adults, ages 18 to 29, would rather see a Democrat maintain control of the White House after the next presidential election.
Clinton, 67, is likely to be among the oldest candidates in the race from either political party. Still, she's overwhelmingly favored among young adults who identified themselves as likely or potential Democratic primary voters, with 47 percent saying they plan to back the former secretary of state.

(5,158 posts)And I've voted in every Presidential and midterm election since 2000, and even some off-year local elections as well. I've tried to encourage others in my generation to vote but it seems they are apathetic. Not sure what to do to change that.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Compairing Bernie to Clint Eastwood I'd ridiculous and undemocratic. Hide this trolling crap.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Apr 30, 2015, 01:36 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I agree with alerter. Post is over the top and gender biased.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: That you don't like a post doesn't make it trolling. Alerter, why don't you call the owner of the site a troll for having the gall to support Clinton? Of course you wont. That would take courage.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Lock it!
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: WTF? An alert for this????
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Total dick post and I disagree 100%, but even they are entitled to their opinion.
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.
