Don't know why so many criticism here.

I did watch on CSPAN and did not get her comment, though: Meaw?

Huckabee said that conservatives should not join the military until there is a conservative commander in chief, so 47 mullahs from Iran send him a letter explaining how we do things?

Jeb Bush by mistake declared himself hispanic, just as Obama, in 1961 declared himself an American.

I mean, everybody has got something to say these days. Mike Huckabee recently said people shouldn’t join our military until a true conservative is elected President. Think about that. It was so outrageous, 47 Ayatollahs wrote us a letter trying to explain to Huckabee how our system works. (Laughter.)

explaining how we "do" things here, that any agreement that Obama will decide will have to be approved by the senate.

So Huckabee comment is, of course, so idiotic and unrealistic that the 47 Iranians are sending him a letter explaining, again, how we do things in this country.

Obviously the networks and CNN must have focused on select groups of people laughing. If you watch the C-SPAN version....many just looked completely bored to death. Not even a glimmer of a smile.

And...exhausted. Perhaps they need to start earlier next year. :&gt

Chris Matthews walking out looked so tired. Very few people really enjoying themselves. That crowd looked old and out of touch to me. No wonder reporting at that high a level is so depressing.

I lived in the D.C. area for 9 years and couldn't wait to move up to CT. It was such a "company town."

in the center of politics and power and have access to the finest museums, food, and historical places.
On the other hand, it lacks the community. I remember taking the subway out
to Arlington every morning and not a single soul speaking or smiling ever. Of course, that was the during the time Bush kept scaring everyone with five year old Al Qaeda maps of subway routes (mine) and acting like they found them the night before.

What time did Obama finally speak on the east coast? I imagine it's a long day - getting dolled up - traffic - waiting to get in - and then having a heavy meal and drinks. Sure by 9 pm people ready to crash.

Interesting point you make though - perhaps the standard media is a dying art and the young people are flocking to non-standard media.
