Not even kidding, but there are literally 100s of sudden new posters with low post counts in every thread here with only one purpose: to bash Hillary; look around. If they're not getting paid, that's even more hilarious/sad. Does anyone have proof of paid Hillary operatives? How did this meme start? Was the same paranoid talking point on DU in 2008? Anyone else notice the sudden influx of concerned posters on DU?

(19,877 posts)There may be paid posters on DU (even though I highly, highly doubt it), but they certainly aren't shilling for Hillary.

(90,829 posts)...because enough sympathizers immediately pile on to welcome and agree with them. I've just mostly been waiting it out.
I think a lot of this nonsense is going to get a pass until after the Convention and nomination, but we shall see.

(11,495 posts)It's been going on for sometime, new posters who come in on day one and start bashing. First it was the president, but no it's all about bashing Hillary, and recing all the posts that are negative about her. Add them to our long time bashers who get hundreds of recs for their daily bashing, and it looks like it will be a long negative election season till the primaries.

(13,685 posts)""When will a Hillary Operative show up on DU?""
Now, "Operatives" is a common political term for paid staff members, so let's not go overboard. And remember, there are probably no paid Hillary operatives on DU, tho some do make that claim, I seriously doubt they are. They are jokers, that's all.

But we can handle it, I think. It's kinda fun to beat them up.
We had a good president who is quoted as saying this about politics:
"If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen"... Truman.

(16,327 posts)there WILL be a significant influx of posters here on DU for any Democratic candidate who runs -- it has happened here every single Presidential election since Kerry/Bush. It is impossible not to notice when it happens, especially when every new post follows the same rigid candidate-advocate message. It becomes especially annoying when orders/loyalty oaths start being flung about. Now, whether the noobs are paid for their efforts or are merely enthusiastic supporters is always up for debate, but some of them (in the past) sure have sounds awfully well-rehearsed, let's say.

(10,237 posts)people who feel that the pro Hillary posts sound like bad ads for a bad product. That being said this back and forth became childish months ago .Paid posters is an absurd idea .The turmoil in our party is from the top down stemming from people who play both sides from their moated castles .
Our political process is just as fake as reality TV .

Threads like this one prove there is no need for Hillary, or any candidate for that matter, to "pay operatives." There are more than enough people excited enough to carry the water for free.
That said, and to answer your question. Yes, this same type of "100s of new posters" post happens just about every primary season. I've never actually seen the "100s of new posters" though.
A handful of disruptors? Sure. But that's to be expected.
