Release of Air Jordans leads to riot in Detroit area mall.

The release of the much anticipated Nike Air Jordan XI Concord lead to an early morning riot at Southland Mall and resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old Detroit man who is accused of inciting a riot.

Taylor police said Southland Mall security called police for assistance at around 5:30 a.m. this morning when a large crowd of about 300 people were lined up outside. The mall, located in Taylor, was not scheduled to open until 8 a.m.

Police said about 100 people gained entry to the mall through two doors near JCPenney and Best Buy. The crowd forced their way into the mall by pulling the main doors open and created some minor interior damage to decorations and benches that were toppled over during a scuffle.

that many buyers plan on selling them on eBay for four hundred bucks a pair. Not sure who has either two or four hundred bucks for a pair of slave-labor made shoes, I get mine off the sale table at Big 5.

maybe their site is overloaded with Air Jordan bidders.

So I checked craigslist, the sellers are asking 300 to 600 a pair. Good luck to them.

These shoes must be even better than Cabbage Patch dolls.

Funny how the police do next to nothing when there's a real actual property-damage people-going-apeshit riot

Same thing happened at Penn State - the kids were smashing windows, tipping over the news van and actually fighting with the cops, but nobody got arrested.

But when non-violent protesters set up camp in a park and demand our government pull its head out of its ass and crack down on rich assholes that are ripping off everyone, the cops come out with enough weapons to arm Bolivia and arrest dozens or hundreds...
