POTUS Interviews "The Wire's" David Simon About War on Drugs

It what is nothing short of fantastic, President of the United States Barack Obama sat down with David Simon, a former reporter who does not like Hollywood; but who worked/ wrote HBO's show "The Wire". Where this is what was discussed (as posted on WhiteHouse.gov - HERE);

President Obama: If we can start down this path to a more productive way of thinking about drugs and its intersection with law enforcement, 20 years from now we can say to ourselves, well, maybe we got a little smarter. And we didn’t get here overnight; we're not going to get out of it overnight. But the fact that we've got people talking about it in a smarter way gets me a little encouraged.

We need comphrensive overhaul of our drug policy now not in twenty years.

Things can change overnight if enough people want to make a change and if we have a leader that unites us to action then change can happen even more rapidly.
