Good news. I've decided to retire the word Douchebag.

There was a day when I could use the word freely....sadly that day is over. I use it...it gets alerted on....the alert is worded In a clever way...I get a hide.

For instance I used it in a post today with MRA's next to it and got the post hidden.

So....with a huge sadness and a heavy heart, my favorite word Douchebag has been retired.

However, surely one could come up with a suitable substitute. If I want to insult somebody -- especially with a friendly poke in the ribs -- I say, "Haista napa!". Granted, not many know Finnish, but maybe they'll Google it and realize that it means, "Smell my belly button." Surely a light-hearted jest.

However, maybe if one is getting hides, one ought to tone things down. I recommend a tongue planted firmly in cheek.

Especially since the freeper thing passed ( and this post is obviously meta commenting on the jury system) - so I always figured you must have some special VIP privileges around here.

But to get juried by calling out those MRA scum that always swarm the women's issues thread with their oh-so-pretentiously-pseudo-reasonable tone?

Dang, I'd call them douchebags out of sheer annoyance, and I hate that word.

One of them once tricked a jury into dinging me for being a rape culture *defender* when I was trying to call them out over rape culture reinforced by video games. They are sly and their agenda is extremely right wing. But their main accounts have too many posts to MIRT, and they if they aren't on juries themselves, they use a faux civil tone that tends to throw sand in the eyes of jurors.

There needs to be a MIRT-like team to identify and ban these DOUCHEBAGS: why is a right-wing agenda that specificlly targets women (whose misogynistic thread-jacking regularly causes waves of meta OPs and GBCWs) being allowed to run rampant on DU? It seems to me if the issue wasn't woman-specific, this would be taken care of already. I get a reminder not to talk about conspiracy theory or Israel/Palestine whenever I post. How hard would it be to add no promotion of the MRA agenda, including invoking rape culture, offering "scientific" evidence of how women are inferior to men,etc.
