I do not hold Bill O'Reilly to the same standards as Brian Williams.

Bill O'Reilly is an entertainer and opinionist. Brian Williams is a journalist and newscaster. What O'Reilly does is not news, in any way, shape, or form. Despicable, yes, but news, no. Please don't let them twist this up until we are elevating Billo's status. I just told a Republican friend this on FB today.

1. What about the President of the USA lying us into war?

The vast majority of Americans don't seem to know or care about that. It's rarely mentioned in mainstream media. Yet Brian Williams is discussed constantly.

The propaganda is mind boggling.

I refuse to elevate Billo to the position of news anchor, which he is not. He is an entertainer and opinionist.

2. Bill is the Top Dog at Fox Lies! His viewers lose trust, Fox loses trust. It is exactly the same, do

not buy into CNN trying to reframe the issue - the issue is loss of trust, not standards of journalism.

One step at a time the media liar factory has to be disassembled, Fox is the natural first target.

Bill-O is conveniently trotted out as serious news-personality when it suits False-Noise and as entertainer the rest of the time. I agree that when his credibility is shattered and debased irreparably then also goes that of the fake organization that cuddles him.

fox the 'for profit' republican internet media doesn't even have any real journalists, they have to affiliate (pay) real journalists and buy AP 'news stories'.

5. Regardless of what you or I think, O'Reilly claims to be a journalist

so I say, take him at his word. And if he thinks he's a journalist, he damn well should be held to the same standard as Brian Williams.

Don't let him hide behind that "entertainer" crap. That's how they all weasel out of lying. Limbaugh has done the same thing.

Fox has had many "reporters," news readers, talking heads, and T&V personalities who have been caught in out and out lies. Never were they punished. Fox even went to court to secure "permission" to openly lie, because of its self-described entertainment status.

Nobody expects him to tell the truth. It's as if Kim Kardashian lied about something.
