It's time we stopped, once and for all, treating those who are lucky enough to scam their way into massive wealth (and let's face it, these days, massive wealth is acquired almost exclusively through scams, luck, and theft)as if they were gods who walk the Earth.
And it's time we stopped accepting the killing lie that the majority of us who work like dogs and end up with nothing are of no value, deserve no respect, and exist solely to be pawns in the games of the few.
It IS about class.
It IS about justice.
It IS about dignity.
Tell Wall Street to fuck off, HRC, and start doing what Democrats are supposed to do-fight for the people.

(5,279 posts)Ms Clinton, remember your hunger...... Just one hard clamping down............. Come on, you have it in you.............Look up from your knees, into their faces..the bankers smile and hand out tiny tidbits to loyal dogs and pat their heads....But think about it, are they patting your head, or holding it down?.....I know their holding my head down...As an expert on being used as stepping stone,I know it when I see it........Those rich faces that light up when you come near..Is it because they see you as one of them, or just a taller stepping stone?....Think on this..FDR laid out a sixty year legacy of progress............Bite hard enough and you could double that......
Come on, it hot and juicy with a rich meaty flavor.

In my opinion, the access the rich have to the government and court constitutes a violation of equal protection under the law.
I don't think she should demonize the rich, because calling them out or calling them names doesn't fix the problems.
What should happens is that we find a way to make access more equal.
I would like to see the Federal, State, City, and county governments fund elections of their representatives. Without the need to seek out ever more money we would have a fairer system than we do now.

(37,573 posts)except in the sense that they are buying policies that tilt in their favor - that I think, is evil.
But demons?
Logically, a person would persecute demons.
I am not in favor of persecution. All I want is for them to
a) obey the laws - environmental, labor, tax, etc.
b) I would suggest that those laws be such as to benefit the majority of people
c) I would have them pay slightly higher tax rates
They don't need to be vilified or hated, just kept in check. So their income is limited. So what? The limit is still pretty high, they can live very well at that level.
I basically want everybody to be happy, with the exception being those who derive their happiness from the misery of others.
You know, Patriots fans.

(17,301 posts)Is a danger to a peaceful society and should not be allowed.
It is the uber rich who funded Hitler and started WWI. It is the corporate elite who fund the teabaggers, hate radio and Fox. It is the rich who are tearing apart our democracy and are turning to fascism.
At every turn they destroy, pollute and corrupt. The excessively wealthy are dangerous terrorists who must be stopped if we are ever to have a peaceful and healthy world.

(13,626 posts)about that at DI but just didn't have the time to research. I was pretty sure I had seen that one blown apart before somewhere. Is it not true that it didn't used to be that way. The people in the middle paid a lot higher percentage back in the 50's, 60's and 70's.
It changed to what we have now because, despite tax cuts, the people at the top paid a higher percentage because they scammed their way into taking all the freakin' money! While screwing the little guy and avoiding doing anything really productive to earn much of it as well! Don't people have to wise up sooner or later?
