Interesting original artwork I found in a junk store

The owner is a friend of mine and let me take the pictures when I saw it behind the counter, I told him I wanted to put the images up online and he was good with that.

I've been trying to get these pics off a friends iphone for a few weeks, she let me use it to get the pictures because I didn't have anything at the time. She didn't know how to send them to email and I have never even touched an iphone before so it was kind of a process of experimentation, one of her kids eventually did it for her.

Hope this is appropriate for GD..

Art should be acquired because you like it. 'Knowing anything about it' is irrelevant Panich52 Feb 2015 #3

I like it too but I was strapped after paying a bunch of bills and I didn't want to ask how much when I was so broke.

Also I try to buy stuff I know something about and I don't know jack about art.

Learned the hard way if I buy things I don't know much about I often lose value on the deal.

All my very limited wall space already has things of a personal nature hanging, not really any place to put more.

zexoxed his pic + bio for buyers. i went to art school, so i could see the quality of his work under the charcoal dust. i was with bunch of others + i said, this is very good stuff. i went 2 days. i think i got 3 little plain air paintings 1 day. and got 6 more 1/2 off last day($1.50 each). i wish i had gotten more mountain ones. but i did get 1 double sided. i tried cleaning 1 and OMG! its BLUE! i cleaned off the rest & they were great little gems. we framed up 3 of them. hung one unframed. turns out a WI museum has a collection of his work. never would have known w/ out the bio. all unsigned.

Pretty standard with the owner, he's nice enough but kind of hit or miss, like his shop.

Like I said in the OP, it's been a few weeks since I took the pictures, it's a really low rent place though and the picture wasn't prominently displayed so it might be there still.

I put items up on Craigslist for him sometimes in exchange for things I want he has and it always takes a while to get in touch.
