The success of Obamacare has made it very awkward for the guy who invented it to run as a Republican.

Kind of ironic that his signature achievement as MA governor has been adopted, and proven to work, at a national level, and he is unable to take the tiniest amount of credit for it.

Along with the "47%" comment endlessly being replayed, and quoted back at him ad nauseam in the primary debates.

So not a surprising decision. Goodbye, and good riddance.

FYI: Romney copied from Billarycare, which copied from the conservative Heritage Foundation. Each made changes along the line, of course; and the Massachusetts state legislature and Ted Kennedy both impacted Romneycare.
