Not saying people are mean just to be mean, but more animalistic in nature. To show who is the alpha.

When they discuss them, it is as if they are a member of their family, getting angry if they incur a perceived slight, and lashing out with personal barbs rather than as fellow human beings just trying to make the world a better place for us all.

here to be 'dicks' to Liberals in general. How they have lasted so long, is a mystery to me, but a majority of DUers are good people, so don't despair, and ALWAYS consider the source.

Eg, I have had one of those who appear to want to be 'dicks' attempt to imply that I am WAIT FOR IT! 'not a woman'. Lol!

Why? Because this woman dares to reject the notion, often pushed here, that 'all men are bad'.

The only explanation for my daring to speak out as a woman, has to be 'you must be posing as a woman'.

Definitely fits your 'dick' (sorry, is that a sexist remark?) category.

I can assure everyone, I am all 'woman'! lol!

yesterday talking with another customer, listening to a guy just be an horse's behind to the lady behind the counter and we were asking the same question.

The world has gotten to be a much more rude and meaner place. It's all about me first and to H.... with You, it would seem.

of people who are assholes, this type is definitely on it.

They pick on people serving them because they know the person they're picking on can't say a word back or else they could get fired.

One of these days when I have the presence of mind to do it, I may just speak up and call an asshole out for being an asshole to someone who can't give them the business right back.

What's gonna happen? It's not like the manager/owner could fire me for telling another customer to go to hell.

Now, it is pushing in the opposite direction: being a bully is considered "cool".

Most people don't think for themselves, they follow and identify with the pack. So there you have it.

The good news is, that the more nasty the great majority of people are, the more the small number of humans of better character stand out and the more valuable they are.

The unthinking lowest common denominator people are just wallpaper to me. They are what they are and they don't interest me, I constantly look past them for people who are continually developing and progressing, who have something of interest to offer.

I don't know what the present who-ha is about WillyT (except to notice that apparently there is one), but I do know that anybody who has nothing better to do than to get worked up in a lather at somebody as positive as you try to be, really needs to find themselves a hobby.

I think we are born narcissists and some people develop onward from that and some don't.

Also being somewhat of an introvert, I often think good things for people but don't express it. Jesus said to not hide your light under a bushel, so I know I should do better.

Just my two cents.

and absolute certainty in things that cannot be proven (religion). And a certain selfishness and coarseness that comes naturally to many.

I am no prude - I can and do swear like a Marine IN PRIVATE - but the decline in public manners these days is appalling.
