John Boehner Destroyed By Forbes In Scathing Smack Down A Legacy Of Disgrace
The noted conservative website Forbes.com published a scathing indictment of Speaker John Boehner in the wake of the growing scandal surrounding his invitation to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to speak before Congress.
The article, entitled Bibi Netanyahu aka The Republican Senator From Israel May Have Made A Fatal Political Mistake offers an in-depth analysis of fallout in Israel over the controversy, predicting the Netanyahu may very well lose his long-standing control of Israel as a result of the fallout from his diplomatic FUBAR.
The article begins by accusing Speaker Boehner of attempting to create two conflicting foreign policies for the United Statesone pursued by the President and the other pursued by the Congress.
After explaining concerns for Netanyahu at home and the possibility that Netanyahus desire to interfere with American policy while seeking to bolster his re-election campaign, may turn out to be the very political screw-up that will allow the joint ticket forged by the Labor-Hatnuah political parties to bring an end to Netanyahus long reign atop the Israeli government, the article goes on to consider Boehners actions.

Think he'll retire and take up painting?
Sell out to Wall Street and become a rich guy who gives speeches?
Keep on with OFA and similar efforts, inspire community activism

My bet is on the latter. I don't think this was just for his
years in office. I think he may be a huge force after leaving
office.

(43 posts)In the full Ungar article that I read a couple of days ago on Forbes.com, I thought the most interesting points were the following:
the plan to have the Israeli Prime Minister speak to Congress, without first discussing with the White House, was the brainchild of Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer who has, for weeks now, been endorsing the re-election of Bibi Netanyahu on American television programs despite explicit Israeli Civil Service regulations prohibiting him from doing so.
Consider the quotes from countless other articles on the subject (and here in particular, an article By Julie Hirschfeld Davis which appeared in the NYT on 1/28/15):
"In a telephone interview late Wednesday, Mr. Dermer said, I have no regrets whatsoever that I have acted in a way to advance my countrys interests. He said he never meant to slight the White House by keeping the confidence of the House speaker, who had suggested the invitation. He said he left it to Mr. Boehner to notify Mr. Obamas team."
SO, although it was reported this scheme was the "brainchild" of Dermer, most other articles, including the NYT article, mislead the readers by stating Boehner initiated the invitation.
What a snake this Dermer guy is. According to the Forbes article, he was the one poking at the bee's nest and who is now all too happy to let Boehner take the stings by making us think this was all the Orange Dude's idea.
This statement from the 1/28/15 NYT article nails it, Hes (Dermer's) a political operative, hes not really an ambassador, said Daniel C. Kurtzer, a former United States ambassador to Israel."
***That in itself is bad enough, but on the other hand, the Orange Dude can't do anything but sit there and take it, since to admit he took the bait from Dermer would prove once and for all what a tool he is for the Zionists and therefore a clear and present danger to U.S. security. This is the huge point that we must take note of and deal with from this whole incident.***
There is no question in my mind that Dermer should be declared persona non grata and removed from this country pronto. In addition, Boehner should step down immediately as his is clearly unfit and a threat to U.S. diplomacy and security.
This subterfuge should be headline news. The citizens of this country need to take notice of the entities who are pulling the strings in our government and the names of everyone who are their puppets, both willing and unwilling (you know, compromised politicians). Time to clean up the cesspool and take control of our own government again.

Bibi Netanyahu -- aka 'The Republican Senator From Israel' -- May Have Made A Fatal Political Mistake
Set aside, for the moment, the diplomatic row being sparked by Speaker of the House John Boehner as he seeks to create two conflicting foreign policies for the United Statesone pursued by the President and the other pursued by the Congress.
Boehners hubris, in conjunction with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahus desire to interfere with American policy while seeking to bolster his re-election campaign, may turn out to be the very political screw-up that will allow the joint ticket forged by the Labor-Hatnuah political parties to bring an end to Netanyahus long reign atop the Israeli government.
