A $205,000,000 improvement to Colorado's budget in 2014

"Colorado raked in $60 million in marijuana taxes and licensing fees in the past year, plus saved most if not all of the $145 million the Harvard report estimated it spent each year fighting marijuana," Aubin wrote in the Jan. 5, 2015, piece.

and creating a black market. When we get that right, i.e. tax mmj like liquor, it'll be good news. Remember, liquor used to be treated like medicine. One step at a time.

On the Friday after (2nd) we were walking around with our 2 sons who live in Denver and wandered into Illuzions Glass Gallery a couple blocks from my son's apartment. Every first Friday in Denver art galleries have open houses. Illuzions open house featured 10 kegs of beer and a huge outdoor smoking tent. Hundreds of people were smoking joints, hash rigs, and $10k bongs. Two Denver cops walked through checking IDs. I snapped a pic of one of the cops joking around with 3 guys smoking a hash rig ... the scene was surreal to this guy who smoked pot the first time 35 years ago....I haven't smoked in around 10 years now, still quite an unbelievable sight. .
