2 New York police officers shot.

(CNN)Two New York City police officers were shot Monday evening in the Bronx, the department said.

Both are expected to survive.

They are looking for the shooter.

It appears the shooter may have been wounded but apparently still at large.

One officer shot in the elbow, the other in the back. Both in the hospital in guarded condition. I'm so far not finding any more info than that.

The media doesn't seem to agree on the number of robbers (one or two) and the circumstances of their fleeing... one says they were on foot, anther says in a car and another says one fled in a car, crashed and escaped on foot. One gun was apparently recovered at the scene.

Too early to know what's going on I guess.
