I know this would fly better in Cooking and Baking, but I have a social justice slant to this.
You will know tomorrow if you have too much turkey. Take portions of it, diced up, fill a plate heaped with stuffing and potatoes in allotments for one person, then put all of it in a quart sized freezer bag. No waste, just tons of turkey dinners you can eat and share.

(6,719 posts)But why freeze it when I will be all over it the next few days! Not much turkey left, but those oven roasted veggies will be my delight for the next couple of days. Yum! And the pumpkin pie. Nope. Twill be gone long before there is any possible waste, smile.

(23,500 posts)It's not a very big turkey, and all the meat will be eaten. The carcass will be cooked down for soup.

(9,265 posts)We had 10 adults (including my son and son-in-law who can both eat huge quantities) and 2 little kids and I have hardly any leftovers. Will just have to peel more potatoes next year.
