1. Not sure I'm seeing what made you angry

That bit tried very hard to point out how even now, when the media is talking about how the women's vote matters so much in this campaign, they are STILL treating women as if they are second class citizens somehow. Jason Jones' behavior in the clip was a parody of how mainstream media deals with these issues. It's satire. The 5 women in the clip were quite aware of what was going on.

and the others showed clear body language of anger.

it was to make a point. everyone gets that. but sometimes, something is so real and sit in reality, that the point is not funny. it pisses off the group being offended.

2. I think maybe you missed the point of the sketch

I'm pretty sure the whole point of that sketch was to lambaste all the men who are talking only to other men about women's issues. And also those who parade out a token woman and then disrespect them.

It wasn't intended as a serious news report. It was intended to call out the Issas of the world.

surprised me. really surprised hubby. i have been thinking about this, and seeing men shrug like, meh... you women dont get it. it was a skit showing the wrong. like who doesnt get it. but the women on panel were pissed, said they knew what was happening, and pissed. women on this thread pissed.

too much, to real, and bullshit. ONE time, just fuckin ONE time to have any man turn and call bullshit. why didnt that man being interviewed by jason say to jason, ask the women. dont ask me, talk to the women. but he played the fuckin game, too.

9. it is condescending men saying, as they chuckle really at the expense of womens experience,

this was a good thing.

the reality is, so many recognize and if the woman speaks up she is dismissed or insulted or demeaned in some way. yet, the undercurrent is a man will refuse to take a stand. he will refuse to address his buddy (which is any male be it a stranger or friend) which only perpetuates it. and we know this. there is a thread in religion, with the men on my ass because i called this out and the one the night before when stewart is standing up for women against the rw war on women and how the rw fight it is not a war. he then presents the argument by putting a naked women on the screen sitting on a gynocolgists table with her legs spread, camera shooting right in.... and a manager hiding the "not allowed on tv" parts. being a man, he sees that he is standing up for women as he himself uses women in a manner that is offensive. free game on the vagina. be it right or left.

and men throwing a fit that really.... women dont "get it" and being a sexist if calling stewart out.

i can apprecaite what stewart is doing and saying for women. i can also recognize that he is doing it thru a mans perspective totally insensitive to women and the issues.

mind boggling.
