In our news wrap Thursday, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper pledged stronger policing and surveillance in the wake of two deadly but seemingly unrelated attacks by suspects with Islamist ties. Meanwhile, lawmakers honored the sergeant-at-arms who shot and killed the gunman. Also, six West Africans who traveled to Connecticut are undergoing a 21-day quarantine for possible exposure to Ebola.

1. he suspended Parliament to avoid losing power

a couple of years ago. The 2 opposition parties had enough votes to get a non confidence motion through, automatically triggering an election, automatically causing the nazipooh thug to lose his job! By 'proroguing' Parliament, harper in effect stole Canada from the people- and gave Harper tens of millions tax monies to spend on media creating an illusion of good government, which are now showing in the polls. The crazy brutal and suicidal attacks on 2 innocent hapless servicemen struck a chord all over the country, and sure enough, fricking harpers there like a hog being well slopped! (btw, the crude and nasty tone of this post, especially in light of the heroic station of our poor dead soldiers, is directly the result of harper's actions, and his baldfaced attempts to exploit the tragedy- 2 mentally ill goofs also are dead- with his eyes on next year's election. He plans to win it, regardless of what the people otherwise want!)
