The movie is about the first middle eastern war to be entirely outsourced to the former vice president's company.
It is really good, has anyone seen it?

(10,650 posts)It hits all the right buttons. Recommended. Hilary Duff is also surprisingly good in it. Bushbots didn't like it, naturally, so it never became the hit it deserved to be.

(1,213 posts)It must have gotten absolutely no publicity whatsoever.
I wish I could put that one scene on youtube, where the goofy terrorist group was hired to do a beheading to promote more war....
It's worth seeing.

(2,518 posts)I saw it a year or so ago on Netflix of Amazon.
It was just boring.
Too bad, really, such a good cast.

(1,213 posts)So rare we have a film actually exposing the bullshit of war in the middle east, can't see how anyone would find that boring.

(8,812 posts)I rushed out to see it when it first came out, and I really wanted to love it.
Unfortunately, I found it artless and flat. It left me cold.
Pains me to say it, but it's true.
Your mileage may vary, of course.

(15,651 posts)IIRC, Cusack funded it out of his own pocket. The special effects are pretty cheesy, but the biting emotion of the satire, especially in the context of the Iraq war fiasco, is powerful.
And yes, Hilary Duff gave a memorable and impressive performance.
