A friend of a friend in Hollywood passed away

Catching up on email.

From Alan Brennert

Another NTZ veteran, director Theodore J. Flicker, who directed Haskell Barkin's script "Act Break," died on September 12 at age 84. The obituary in the Hollywood Reporter mentions only the fact that he co-created BARNEY MILLER, but he had a wide variety of TV and film credits; arguably his best work was the black comedy THE PRESIDENT'S ANALYST starring James Coburn, which he wrote and directed. He wrote, directed, and even acted in episodes of NIGHT GALLERY, as well as many other TV shows and feature films. A talented man.
