Russia Cracks Down on Tatars: Security forces raid Crimean Tatar assembly

In the latest crackdown on the Crimean Tatars Russian security forces have raided the Mejlis, the Crimean Tatar assembly.

Russia, that bastion of freedom. I assume the Putin worshipers will be silent on this.

They do not know if the Tatars are to be denounced as hereditary Nazis, or as Jihadi extremists, or as simple dupes employed as a tool by neo-cons to try and smear Russia....

but even then, some here go very quiet when news like this comes out.

The Ukrainian Parliament voted and gave the Pro-Russian separatists everything they wanted from the beginning and now that is not enough. Ukraine seems to be following the cease fire plan and the points required by them but not the other side. I do believe one of the points was to turn in all arms by illegal groups and leave occupied buildings. The President called for new parliamentary elections and even the Party of Regions now says they will not be able to participate due to separatists preventing the vote.
