W is back and he is still a fool.

Did you see it? Did you see the snippets of his speech made yesterday shown on the MSNBC shows last night?

Still talking that crap about his tax cuts, although he wishes they weren't called the "Bush tax cuts." Still talking that crap about "job creators" -- oh no, you don't raise taxes on them. Still ignoring the facts, the simple facts, like the statistics that prove that his tax cuts did not create jobs.

Here's the thing, a surplus is not a surplus when there is a national debt. There was no excess income available to cut taxes. There was no excess money to give back. That money should have been used to pay down the national debt, thus cutting the amount of interest on the debt and restoring financial stability. Financial stability and consumer confidence would have spurred consumer spending, which would have increased product demand and those "job creators" would have had reason to invest in their businesses and employees to keep up with demand. Instead, wages stagnated resulting in consumers having less expendable income. An economy cannot grow when wages are stagnant. That seems like a simple concept to understand.

However, I am not an economist. Perhaps someone here can set me straight. Am I wrong?

makes you absolutely correct. There's wrong, not wholly correct, nearly correct, right and disagreeing with Shrub.

Perhaps I should have asked if my thinking is wrong about how the surplus could have been used.

a dangerous game even allowing his voice to be publicly
recorded. The man needs to pay for his war crimes and

"trickle down" economics and they never work. I think in this case it was even worse because it was a golden opportunity to pay down the national debt.

Because his chimp-like mug will remind people exactly why we voted the GOP out of power in the first place. Seriously, you know Jeb and Karl Rove are tryign to ponder ways to keep W. off camera right now.

But one would think that Mitch McConnell's ugly mug and stupid statements would do that, too. Oh, and don't forget whiny ass Bohner.

and thankfully it will nto be hard to link him to Mitt, as both are sons of moderate GOP that got trashed by the right, who tried to appeal to the right, but stirred up hate because they did not cut enough spending for the Ayn Rand types.
