Trayvon did nothign at the convenience store but buy Skittles. However, even if Michael stole a whole box of cigars, he did not deserve to get shot over them.

The victim is portrayed as "lesser than" and therefore killing justified its outrageous

And now the media is piling on making it seem shoplifting is worthy of execution. Its unbelievable the way they frame the debate to disparage the victim. Quite cruel with no regard for the family either.

A young black man lives a life as a suspect then is further maligned when he is a victim. One of the things that bothers me most is thinking about families. My heart hurts particularly for parents who have black sons.

I still can't get over the contrast between how young white men with guns who actually have killed are treated in contrast to black men suspected of some kind of minor crime.

But not really, not for all. It makes me sad and ashamed.
