None of them is old enough to know what work was like at Market Basket before Arthur T. Demoulas ascended to CEO in 2008. The Demoulas family turmoil that preceded that was so long before they were born it might feel like ancient history.

Teenagers shouldn't necessarily care who their CEO is when they work for a big company, just looking to make extra spending cash during high school or save up when they're in college. But many teenage baggers, cashiers and others at Market Basket do know Demoulas, and support him strongly enough that hundreds have taken summer days off to rally for their former leader.
