The Job Farce
It is crystal clear that the CUSTOMERS have spoken, not only on this page but by looking at the empty parking lots and empty stores. They are not going to come back, ever, until ATD is back as the CEO of our company without restrictions.
If you look at the comments from Store Directors and Asst Store Directors on this page you will note that they have more than adequate staff it is CUSTOMERS they need. Not to beat a dead horse but the CUSTOMERS are not staying away because of lack of help or lack of products they are staying away because of a lack of ATD.
Our Store Directors have been placed in an entrapping situation by being directed to make production numbers, an impossible task given that 90% drop in volume and customer traffic. It is NOT the Store Management's fault that they have no traffic and they have been going to work every day, yet the job fair ad clearly states they are looking for Store Directors and Asst Store Directors. This is just plain wrong and quite possibly illegal. As stated earlier, all Store Directors and Asst Store Directors should call their state's Labor Board first thing Monday morning.
Our culture requires promotion from within but to invite current associates to a job fair to apply for positions that are still filled is wrong and ALL current associates need to stay away from that job fair.
As for the general public, on Tuesday and Wednesday, be warned there are no jobs open and you will be crossing a picket line to apply for these positions and you will be hired as a scab at much less than our associates currently make. We suggest our customers inundate this job fair and make it impossible for F&G to hire anyone.

Thanks again for keeping everyone updated!

I'm not very close to any MBs, but I'm thinking I should take our teenager to see one so he can see history being made!

Kid's home from school, but I have work - but I might stage my *own* walkout. (Although I basically like my job, so maybe I'll just sneak out for a bit.)

Are you going? We could have a DU contingent, perhaps try to lure a few others.

This is the most interesting story of protest since before Occupy was crushed. Thank you for the updates; we're fortunate to have you.
