The Senate passed a resolution Tuesday that states the Senate’s support of Israel’s right to defend itself from Hamas rocket attacks and condemns a “bias” United Nation’s report.

S.Res. 526 was passed through a unanimous consent agreement. The resolution also condemns a United Nation’s Human Right Council report that stated Israel had committed human rights violations against the Palestinian people.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said that U.N. report was “disgusting” and failed to recognize that Israel is defending itself from attacks started by Hamas, a terrorist organization.

“I’ve always been a supporter of the U.N. but what I saw last week disgusted me,” Reid said of the report. “It was so one-sided.”

They are heartless and cruel and THIS explains, more than anything else that has happened over the past decade or so, WHY our own War Criminals were never held accountable, it wasn't about 'moving forward'. It is much worse than that, THEY are in charge, and either Reid is being threatened, or his on board with this whole, corrupt system that protects Crooked Bankers and War Criminals.

In polls around the world, on who is the biggest threat to world peace, we WIN together with Israel. So this use of our Congress to try to bully the world into ignoring the horrors being perpetrated against the Palestinian people, is beyond disgusting.

I cannot fathom it. Why does this government go out of its way to protect that country no matter what it does?

Also, this makes Kerry's efforts, which the Israelis are mocking essentially, to try to stop the killing, look like the WH and the Dem Congressional Leadership are on opposite sides.

when it comes to Israel. The UN is full of Israel haters. Reid is correct not to buy into to Hamas propaganda. Where do you think the UN gets its "facts" about Gaza? Do you think they have people wandering around Gaza snapping pictures? The UN gets its information from a Palestinian NGO called the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. They claim 82% of deaths have been civilians. They also claimed in 2008-9 war that 82% of deaths were civilian. When statistics that exact are given out in the chaos of war it means they are made up. Reid knows lies when he sees them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormonism_and_Judaism

"...Judaism is foundational to the history and doctrine of Mormonism. Jews and Mormons both agree that keeping commandments is essential to their religion. Jews and Mormons both agree that Moses was a prophet. Jews and Mormons both diverge from a literal interpretation of the Tanach (Biblical commandments). But as they diverge: Jews and Mormons disagree about the specifics of what is commanded and how commandments are received. Mormons regularly receive commandments anew through personal revelation according to the authority, dominion, and worthiness of the individual. Jews inherit a scholarly tradition of commandments and eschew any contemporary revelation as presumptively false.

The Latter Day Saint movement teaches that its adherents are either direct descendants of the House of Israel or adopted into it. As such, Mormonism regards Jews as a covenant people of God, held in high esteem and respected in the Mormon faith system. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) refers to itself as philo-Semitic in its doctrine.

Studies have shown that Jews generally view Mormons more positively than any other religious group,[1][2] despite often voting on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Explanations for Jews' high regard for Mormons is speculated to come both from their solidarity with other historically abused religious minorities and the philo-semitism of Mormon theology.[3] ....."
