I have patients who will bring in their own medication, (it's non- formulary) but we dispense it. They look at me and say "That's a $1,000 pill.

It's disgusting. Some of these folks are getting liver transplants, which is considered a palliative surgery- not a cure. I've seen cases of hep C return immediately, bouts of interferon tried, but another transplant is usually out of the question.

Then you have these greedy assholes with their thousand dollar pills. It's practically blackmail for those who can even afforded it or whose insurance offsets part of the cost.

And trust me, I've seen politically vocal people from different spectrums in very dire straights working in transplant.

Republicans are being death delivering assholes, as per usual.
