We have people with whom he would be comfortable and lots of moderates. We have lots of people who do wonderful Cajun and Creole. I can take him out for some crabs and oysters. He could be very happy on our side.

The Louisiana State Republican Party is voting to censure the man.

No good deed goes unpunished, as the saying goes.

These state-level pols are even more crazed than their national counterparts. I'm sure Cassidy was warned of this end result.

He did good today.

Unanimous vote, too. These politicians are as invested in the Cult of Trump as their QAnon constituents.

A Senator who sat through every bit of the evidence is being censured by a bunch of republican shitheads in Louisiana, who, in all likelihood, watched little or none of it on televisions. It's Trump's party now. Good luck with it, because the vast majority of Americans have had enough of his shit and he'll never be elected again, for anything. And we're coming for every one of those chicken-shit Trumpublican's congressional jobs. Every. Fucking. One. 😡

and justice will grind on with indictments on the insurrectionists, and even perhaps their leader, who may face a lot of litigation in several areas. They are pricking the boil slowly to minimize fallout, in my opinion.

I sent him a thank you the first time he showed his stuff. It won't be easy for him, but at least he should be able to sleep which is more than the rest of those repugs should be able to do. May they all OD on their sleeping pills. As a long time resident of LA, I understand that we are a little more independent than some.

For putting your country and the truth over party. This took a lot of courage knowing the fallout you'd face.
