"The MSM is absolute garbage. 90% of them are part of the right wing echo chamber. This is the result of their inept and intentional half ass reporting, dealing with a nation of sheep "

...is to keep spinning Obama as unpopular to create the impression that he's incompetent. From the Yahoo article:

And the foreign-policy approval rating for Obama might actually be artificially high. The poll was conducted before the crisis in Iraq, a situation for which Obama has been roundly criticized, bubbled up and grabbed international attention.

Obama's handling of international events have earned him criticism over the past few months — from the crisis in Ukraine to his administration's decision to execute a prisoner swap to free U.S. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in exchange for five Taliban-affiliated prisoners from the Guantanamo Bay military prison.

According to the poll, 44% of respondents said the administration should not have made the exchange, compared with 30% who supported it.

Really? So they're anticipating his numbers to be negatively impacted by his decision to not go into Iraq, and claim most American disapprove of saving an American? Is the implication that Americans prefer a Republican foreign policy, war all the time?

Poll Finds the American People Strongly Side With Obama On Not Sending Troops To Iraq

By: Jason Easleymore from Jason Easley

A new poll released to day by PPP found that by a nearly two to one margin (54%-28%), the American people are strongly siding with President Obama’s decision not to have sent combat troops back into Iraq.

There are two interesting points in the PPP poll:

-Only 16% of Americans would support sending combat troops to help deal with the crisis in Iraq, compared to 74% who are opposed. There’s a bipartisan consensus on that issue with with Republicans (28/57), Democrats (10/86), and independents (9/86) all strongly opposed to sending combat troops.

<...>

-Asked specifically whose vision they agreed with more about having US troops in Iraq between Obama (no troops under any circumstances) and John McCain (troops should have remained in Iraq after 2011), voters side with Obama by a 54/28 spread. In addition to Democrats strongly siding with Obama’s perspective, independents (53/28) and Republicans (49/30) do as well.

People aren’t buying what the Republicans are selling on Iraq. Republicans are blaming the violence on withdrawal of American troops, but 67% of Americans think the conflict is rooted in centuries of internal conflict that was exacerbated by the Bush administration’s decision to invade Iraq. Americans overwhelmingly support providing intelligence to the Iraqi government (56%-30%), and a major international diplomatic effort (52%-30%) to stabilize Iraq.

It turns out that the American people aren’t about to get fooled again by the same lies that got the country into Iraq in the first place. The Republican Party is playing a politically dangerous game by trying to blame President Obama for the wave of violence in Iraq. Instead of blaming Obama, the Republican attacks are reminding the American people that it was the GOP who lied and got the nation into a war of choice.

http://www.politicususa.com/2014/06/17/poll-finds-american-people-strongly-side-obama-sending-troops-iraq.html

More the Yahoo piece:

•When asked their predictions on the rest of Obama's term in office, 54% said they thought he "cannot lead and get the job done," compared with only 42% who said the opposite.

LOL! Right, that's why Diaper Vitter is trying to convice people he would expand Medicaid if only the people of Louisiana would elect him Governor. Notice the MSM isn't reporting 24/7 on the ass kicking Republicans are taking on Obamacare?

President Obama is serving up a can of STFU to the Republicans and their MSM shills.

"Obama effectively painted a bull’s eye, inviting Republican apoplexy. And yet, crickets. "

During the Obamacare website launch and the subsequent six months 1/3 of their "news" front page were negative spins on any ACA statistics coming through. Beyond any coincidence--pathetic.

Eight or ten years ago i thought it couldn't get any worse with this thing they call MSM and i would report that it hasn't. They have just become a lot less inventive and way more belligerent. It's kind of obvious why there are now thousands of tv channels and tens of thousands of radio stations you can access anytime.

I haven't really thought about MSM much lately and i also don't see MSM changing much anytime soon but i do know when something becomes bound up and constipated, it makes a big mess when it comes loose.

news sources like RT (which I know everyone here hates), China's CCTV and Al Jazeera America, you'll immediately notice the lack of a saturation of the advertisements on which American broadcast television builds shows around.

These channels actually have correspondents around the world who actually talk to the people in these countries, interview them on camera, put their names on the screen and tell who they are, and generally provide at lot more firsthand information on whatever the situation is than any American, corporate-owned new outlet.

Why anyone even watches CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. is beyond me...

Wed Jun 18, 2014, 12:10 PM
Jun 2014

Former head of the CIA, William Casey, was quoted as saying every single news person of any national stature was ON THE CIA PAYROLL. I seriously doubt if he was lying, or that percentage has changed with the passing of time. Is it any wonder why most Americans don't watch any news program at all? One network, or newspaper, just spews the same lies as the next. And the lies are always in the "best interest of the nation", or at least that's what is told to us after the real truth comes out. WE were just too stupid to understand facts and truth, when the government knew we would be happier with lies and propaganda. Just look at the WMD lies from Iraq. WE were told time and again that Iraq had WMD's, but we were lied to by the politicians and news organizations who benefited from those lies.

The anti-Obama spin was breathtaking. They put the quote from Cheney on the screen like it was the most important utterance of any human in the entire world on this day in history. The rest, with Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell, was just as bad but slightly more subtle. I don't know why I continue to be shocked after all these years of "MSM" propaganda, but I am.
